High three-star outside linebacker Mario Mathis (Thomasville, Ga.) has committed to play for the SEC Rebels, according to multiple sources. Additionally, Scout.com reports that Hinds Community College (Raymond, Miss.) wide receiver Quadarias Mireles is on board with Ole Miss.
Mathis, the nation's No. 34-rated OLB at this time, is a 6-foot-2, 230-pound prospect who also received scholarship offers from South Florida, Mississippi State and South Alabama. Clemson and South Carolina were among the other programs showing interest.
Mireles, a 5-foot-11, 185-pounder, originally signed with Ole Miss out of Atlantic Community High School (Delray Beach, Fla.) as a three-star in 2010 but headed to Hinds due to academic issues. During this recruiting cycle, he picked up offers from Oklahoma State and Purdue.
The Rebels now have eight pledges.
