Like many other football players looking to land that first offer, Germod Williams (Conroe, Texas/Oak Ridge) waited and waited for a school to take a chance. Some days patiently, others impatiently.
On Thursday, the 6-foot, 185-pound safety received offer No. 1, as Texas State extended a scholarship – ending weeks and weeks of frustration.
“It feels great. You always have that dream and think you’re going to get an offer,” Williams said. “When it finally happens, you’re speechless. Words can’t explain it right now.”
