Three-star quarterback Devante Kincade (Dallas/Skyline) confirmed via text message that he has picked up an offer from Minnesota.
A 6-foot, 180-pound junior, Kincade added Minnesota as his seventh offer, joining Notre Dame, Colorado, SMU, Oregon State, Illinois and Kansas State. Kincade is considered the 20th-best pocket-passing quarterback, and he is ranked No. 64 among all players in Texas.
Kincade earned an invitation to the Elite 11 national camp in Redondo Beach, Calif., in July after an outstanding performance at the Dallas Elite 11 regional camp. His stock rose after that performance, as LSU, North Carolina, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, Washington and Indiana all have expressed high interest.
Kincade threw for 3,270 yards and 37 touchdowns and completed nearly 71 percent of his passes (186 of 263) as a junior. Kincade also ran for 857 yards and 17 touchdowns and led Skyline to the Texas Class 5A, Division I state semifinals.
