ESPNU 150 Watch List signal-caller Ryan Burns (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge) has committed to play for Stanford, multiple sources report.
Boston College, Maryland, Rutgers, Penn State, Virginia, West Virginia and Tennessee also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-5, 220-pound junior. Florida State and North Carolina State among others were showing interest.
Burns is Stanford's second Class of 2013 commitment. Another Virginia talent, linebacker Doug Randolph (Woodberry Forest, Va.), was the Cardinal's first pledge.
Stanford landed one of the nation's finest 2012 classes but did not sign a quarterback.
