More three-star talent headed to Memphis

Roderick Proctor, a three-star wide receiver from Florida powerhouse Dr. Phillips (Orlando, Fla.) has committed to play in the newly-formed American Athletic Conference, according to multiple reports.

Appalachian State, Arizona, Bowling Green, South Alabama and Western Michigan also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-11, 161-pound athlete. Kentucky and South Florida expressed interest.

Proctor registered an electronically timed 4.57 40-yard dash, 4.59 20-yard shuttle, 33.4-inch vertical, 35.9-foot power throw and 78.42 SPARQ this spring at at Nike combine.

Memphis has just five pledges for 2014, but four of those players have been evaluated by ESPN RecruitingNation with each receiving a three-star grade.
