Three-star defensive end Jimmy Hogan (Franklin Lakes, N.J./Ramapo) announced for the Scarlet Knights, according to multiple reports.

Rutgers is one of the hottest programs on the trail having added Hogan, ESPN 300 wide receiver Adonis Jennings (Erial, N.J./Timber Creek) and ESPN 300 athlete Kiy Hester (Montvale, N.J./St. Joseph Regional) in the last few days.

Hogan, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect, also holds scholarship offers from Connecticut, Massachusetts, Syracuse and UCF.

Prior to making his decision, Hogan informed NJ.com what he was looking for in a school: "I just want to go somewhere I'll have the best time and wherever I feel most at home."

The Scarlet Knights have 20 verbals for 2014 and are expected to move up ESPN RecruitingNation's class rankings from their current spot at No. 29.
