Class of 2014 cornerback Kamren Lott (Jacksonville, Fla./First Coast) committed Thursday to play for the Scarlet Knights, according to multiple sources. He was recruited by Rutgers offensive coordinator Ron Prince.

Lott, a 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect, selected RU over scholarship offers from Akron, Indiana, Iowa State and Minnesota. Georgia Tech, Michigan State, Ole Miss, South Carolina, South Florida, Central Florida and Wisconsin were among the other programs expressing interest.

Another Sunshine State standout, high three-star running back Joshua Hicks (Palmetto, Fla./Palmetto), got Rutgers' 2014 class started last October with his pledge. Additionally, the Scarlet Knights signed four players from Florida this past February.

Lott is commitment No. 11 for Rutgers during this recruiting cycle.
