Wide receiver Jeremey Chappelle (Jacksonville, Texas/Blinn Junior College), now No. 8 in the ESPN JC 100, is a monster pick-up for Mississippi State as he could very well be the missing piece of their playmaking puzzle on offense. The Bulldogs have been sorely missing a playmaker of Chappelle's caliber, and while he is not as explosive as Tennessee’s Cordarrelle Patterson, he is every bit as imposing and able to create huge plays. This will be a very difficult player for cornerbacks to match up with especially if he gets them one-on-one in the redzone. This is an ideal example of how a need can be filled immediately from the juco ranks.
Four other wide receivers entered the ESPN JC this week; four-star Arizona State pledge Joe Morris (Woodland Hills, Calif./Pierce College), Iowa verbal Damond Powell (Toledo, Ohio/Snow College) and a pair of West Virginia commitments -- Kevin White (Scranton, Pa./Lackawanna College) and Ronald Carswell (Macon, Ga./Itawamba CC).
