Joe Craig was a Clemson signee as an athlete coming out of Gaffney, S.C., in 2010.
He wound up at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College instead, but is working his way back to Division I, and possibly a BCS-level, program.
Craig, a speedy, 5-foot-10, 170-pound wide receiver/kick returner, said he will sign Wednesday after a quick whirlwind of visits. He said he has offers from Memphis, Cincinnati, Iowa State, Middle Tennessee and Troy. He visited three of those schools in the last seven days.
"I went to Middle Tennessee last Friday-Sunday (Dec. 7-9), Memphis Monday and Tuesday and Cincinnati Friday 'til (Sunday)," he said.
As a December graduate at Co-Lin, he can enroll at his chosen school in January.
As a sophomore this season, he was second in the Mississippi Association of Community/Junior Colleges with 52 catches for 596 yards and six touchdowns. He also had a 90-yard kickoff return. He was named second team all-MACJC.
