Cal Bears stay hot on the trail

Salesian (Richmond, Calif.) coach Chad Nightingale confirmed with multiple sources on Thursday that four-star offensive tackle Freddie Tagaloa has committed to sign with California.

The 6-foot-7, 310-pound prospect selected the Bears over Oregon, Stanford and USC. Tagaloa made an official visit to Eugene, Ore. for the weekend of October 5th. Arizona, Arizona State, UCLA, Texas, Utah, San Diego State and San Jose State also extended scholarship offers.

Cal, one of the hottest programs on the trail over the last week, now has 11 commitments. The Bears' currently sit on the cusp of ESPNU's top 25 class rankings.

Four-star offensive tackle Christian Okafor (Houston, Westbury) and three-star kicker Cole Leininger (Jacksonville, Fla./Bartram Trail) also recently jumped on board with Cal.
