A.J. Richardson (Harbor City, Calif./Narbonne) pledged Thursday to play in the Pac-12 for the Cal Bears, according to DailyBreeze.com.
"I loved the vibe and the weather, and I know a couple of people up there, so I won't be a stranger. It felt like home," Richardson, who visited in June, said. "I kind of fell in love with it. My family and I felt it was the best decision. This is rock solid."
Duke, Hawaii, Houston, New Mexico State and San Diego State also offered the 6-f0ot, 185-pounder. Richardson, a three-star, garnered additional attention from Boise State, Oregon and UCLA.
Richardson is the first receiver and eighth overall pledge in Cal's Class of 2013.
