Eldridge Massington (Mesquite, Texas/West) fits the mold of what USC has been accustomed to having on the outside. He is tall, lanky and can run with huge redzone potential to make plays on the jump ball.
He is not in the same mold of a Robert Woods or Marquise Lee—he’s a different type of guy. A little more straight-lined, but very gifted with savvy route running ability to stem and weave defenders. USC is preparing to likely lose two WR’s in Woods and Lee to early NFL departure in back-to-back years so this is clearly thinking ahead.
