James Franklin continues to make the Peach State a recruiting priority, and once again Vanderbilt's efforts have paid off with a commitment from linebacker Nigel Bowden (Macon, Ga./Central.)

"Yes sir, I committed to Vanderbilt," Bowden said.

Bowden emerged at the Athens Nike Training Camp last spring and the 6-foot-1, 230-pound ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect actually earned his first offer from the Commodores. Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Tennessee also offered Bowden, who earned Honorable Mention All-State last fall after making 155 tackles and five sacks his junior season.

He is the third commitment for the 2013 class for Vanderbilt, and the second prospect from Georgia, along with quarterback Jonathan McCrary (Ellenwood, Ga./Cedar Grove).
