Highly-coveted ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive end Garrett Sickels (Little Silver, N.J./Red Bank) committed to sign with Penn State on Sunday, multiple sources report.
Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami-FL, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Boston College, UConn, Duke, Kansas, Maryland, Ole Miss, Purdue and Central Florida also extended scholarship offers to Sickels.
According to multiple reports, Ohio State and Notre Dame were expected to be in the mix for his signature.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect is commitment No. 3 for Penn State's Class of 2013. Quarterback Christian Hackenberg (Richmond, Va./Fork Union) and cornerback Ross Douglas (Avon, Ohio) are the other Nittany Lions verbals. All three players are on the ESPNU 150 Watch List.
