The Buffaloes have added a verbal from tight end Dylan Keeney (Granite Bay, Calif./Granite Bay), according to multiple reports.

Eastern Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Sacramento State, San Jose State and Wyoming also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-6, 210-pound rising senior.

Last offseason, he registered a 5.13 40-yard dash, 4.29 20-yard shuttle, 31.7-inch vertical and 78.15 SPARQ.

Keeney is commitment No. 7 for Colorado.

Three-star running back/safety Drew Lewis (Sammamish, Wash./Eastlake) committed Saturday to play in-state for Washington, according to multiple reports.

Arizona State, Pittsburgh, Washington State, Wyoming, Air Force, Boise State and Utah also recruited the 6-foot-2, 196-pound rising senior.

Washington has just four players on board for 2014. Lewis is the Huskies' first pledge in the month of June.

Three-star athlete Tony Ellison (Granite Bay, Calif./Granite Bay) committed this week to play in the Pac-12 for Arizona, multiple sources report.

Ellison announced his decision on Twitter:

 

Fresno State and Wyoming also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-11, 162-pound prospect, considered the nation's No. 68-rated ATH.

The Wildcat now have 11 players on board for 2014.

Colton Moskal (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich), who will be included as part of Monday's ESPN RecruitingNation rankings update, has committed to Syracuse, according to media reports.

He also received scholarship offers from Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Toledo, Western Michigan, Wyoming and Yale.

Cornell, Duke, Illinois, Iowa, Penn State and Stanford expressed interest in the 6-foot-1, 215-pound prospect.

Syracuse has four commitments.

Illinois secures LB Austin Roberts

Class of 2014 inside linebacker Austin Roberts (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) committed Thursday to sign with the Illini, multiple sources report.

Roberts was heavily recruited by non-BCS, FCS and Ivy League schools. Air Force, Army, Central Michigan, Columbia, Harvard, Illinois State, North Dakota State, Pennsylvania, South Dakota State, Wyoming and Yale extended offers to the 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect.

He registered 152 total tackles, seven sacks and an interception during his junior campaign.

Illinois now has six pledges.

Huskies nab DE Don Hill

Defensive end Don Hill (Boise, Idaho/Timberline) committed Friday to sign with Washington, according to the Idaho Statesman.

"I felt really comfortable with the program as a whole, with the coaches, the school, the football team and what they had to offer me with the education and the football side of it," he said.

Hill, 6-foot-4, 235-pounds, turned down scholarship offers from Boise State, Utah, Washington State and Wyoming. Stanford showed interest.

Last season, he registered 70 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 7 sacks.

Hill is commitment No. 3 for the Huskies.

Cougars gain in-state defensive tackle

Class of 2014 defensive lineman Marcus Griffin (Bellevue, Wash./Bellevue) has accepted an offer from Washington State, according to multiple sources.

Griffin (6-foot-3, 285 pounds) also holds offers from Colorado State, Idaho and Wyoming. Arizona State, Boise State, California, Oregon and Washington expressed interest.

Griffin is commitment No. 2 for the Cougars, who picked up quarterback Peyton Bender (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) in March. Both Griffin and Bender will be included in ESPN's next rankings update.
The Elite 11 regional competition is scheduled to make a stop May 17 in San Francisco. Quarterback Manny Wilkins (Novato, Calif./San Marin) couldn’t wait that long.

The new coaching staff at San Jose State faces challenges on and off the field in living up to what the previous group was able to accomplish with the Spartans. But coach Ron Caragher took his first big step with the 2014 class Sunday night, as San Jose State corralled its first commitment for the 2014 recruiting class.

After exploding on the scene as a senior, RB Kani Benoit (Phoenix/Thunderbird) slowly started to gain interest and offers. New Mexico, Colorado State, Toledo, Wyoming and UNLV all offered, while Arizona State, Illinois, Oregon and Vanderbilt showed interest but had yet to offer. Last week, the Ducks picked up their interest in Benoit again and he returned the favor.

Defensive ends Justyn Eddins and Chris Odom are the newest 2013 verbals for Arkansas State. Eddins' decision has been reported by multiple sources. Scout.com broke Odom's commitment.

Eddins, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound College of the Canyons (Santa Clarita, Calif.) product, selected Arkansas State over a scholarship offers from New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Sacramento State, Western Michigan and Wyoming. He officially visited the Red Wolves last weekend, the Cowboys on Jan. 18th and the Aggies on Jan. 11th.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Odom played for James Martin High School (Arlington, Texas).

According to ESPN, Arkansas State has 22 commitments / early signees for 2013.

Miners land big three-star RB

Three-star running back Darrin Laufasa (Bothell, Wash./Bothell), a one-time Brigham Young verbal, is now set to play for UTEP, multiple sources report. He officially visited the Miners this past weekend.

Laufasa, a versatile 6-foot, 224-pound senior, also holds scholarship offers from Idaho, Portland State and Wyoming. California, Utah and Washington State were among the other programs to show interest.

ESPN writes in his scouting report, "Laufasa is a power back with the ability to dominate at the line of scrimmage and through to the second level ... Is an effective run blocker off the edge demonstrating the ability to run through defenders and step on their toes with excellent follow through and finish; is a hands catcher, flashing the screen and check down ability which could keep him on the field in long yardage situations."

Madison (Wis.) Memorial receiver Jester Weah is closing in on a decision.

Following an official visit to Pittsburgh this past weekend, which resulted in an offer from the Panthers, Weah could have a decision by the end of the week.

“I’m thinking about after my finals, hopefully,” Weah said.
