Bruno Reagan says yes to USF

According to multiple reports, defensive tackle/offensive guard Bruno Reagan (Clarksville, Tenn./Clarksville) has committed to sign with the South Florida Bulls.

South Florida topped offers from Connecticut, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee, Tennessee State and Western Kentucky for the 6-foot-3, 291-pound prospect. Cincinnati, Missouri, Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt showed interest.

This spring, he posted an electronically-timed 5.90 40-yard dash, 4.93 20-yard shuttle, 20.7-inch vertical, 31-foot power throw and 51.6 SPARQ at a Nike combine.

The Bulls have six pledges for 2014. On Saturday, multiple reports listed athlete Quinton Flowers (Miami/Jackson) as a South Florida pledge, but it appears that the three-star has not committed.

Memphis has picked up verbal commitments from junior college lineman Kevin McIntyre (Oroville, Calif./Butte College) and safety Anthony Young (Memphis, Tenn./White Station), multiple sources report.

Young, who also had an offer from Tennessee State, becomes the Tigers second defensive back pledge for this class. McIntyre joins fellow JC offensive line commit Will Dancy and the two of them should provide some immediate depth for the Tigers.

CB Lester Thomas picks FAU Owls

Florida Atlantic has received a commitment from senior cornerback Lester Thomas (Tallahassee, Fla./Godby), multiple sources report.

Thomas, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect, selected the Owls over scholarship offers from Western Kentucky and Tennessee State. South Alabama, UCF and USF were among the other schools pursuing Thomas.

Missouri dips into Florida for Hambrick

Senior linebacker Darren Hambrick (Brooksville, Fla./Hernando) committed Saturday to play for Missouri, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

“I should have done it a long time ago,” the 6-foot-1, 218-pound Hambrick said. “I like the team. I like the program.”

Bethune-Cookman, Kent State, UMass, South Alabama, Tennessee State and Western Kentucky also extended scholarship offers to Hambrick. Appalachian State and South Florida were among the other schools showing interest.

WKU lands DE Ismael Aurismond

Hialeah defensive lineman Ismael Aurismond has made a commitment to sign as part of Western Kentucky's class of 2013, multiple sources report.

Aurismond, a 6-foot-3, 214-pound prospect, also received scholarship offers from Florida International, Howard, Kansas, South Alabama, Tennessee State and Western Michigan.

This spring, Aurismond registered a combine-verified 5.47 40-yard dash, 5.00 20-yard shuttle, 26.8-inch vertical and 54 SPARQ at a Nike event.

The Hilltoppers now have 12 players, including six from Florida, on board for 2013.

Boise State adds Juco Justin Taimatuia

The Broncos have reached into the junior college ranks in search of immediate help up front from Fort Scott CC defensive tackle Justin Taimatuia, multiple sources report.

Houston, Indiana, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, South Alabama, Tennessee State, Texas State, Toledo and Texas-San Antonio also offered.

Other programs including Oregon State, Pittsburgh and Utah State recruited the 6-foot-1, 300-pound prospect.

Taimatuia is the first juco in 2013 and commitment No. 10 overall for Boise State. The Broncos have one four-star pledge from offensive guard Andrew Tercek (San Antonio, Texas/East Central). Their eight other high school verbals have received three-star grades from ESPN.

Three-star S Bryant Gross to Rutgers

Senior defensive back Bryant Gross (Plantation, Fla./American Heritage) has committed to play in the Big East for Rutgers, multiple sources report.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect is graded as a three-star prospect and the nation's No. 65-rated safety by ESPN, which describes Gross as a player who, "has some upside and potential scheme versatility if a program is patient in his development."

Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Georgia State, Hawaii, LSU, Marshall, Memphis, Purdue, Tennessee State, Tulane, Utah State and Western Michigan also extended scholarship offers to Gross. Miami-FL showed interest.

Florida DB rockets to Toledo

Cornerback Wesley Smith (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School of Nova South) has committed to Toledo, Scout.com reports.

Georgia State, Tennessee State and Utah State also offered the 5-foot-11, 165-pounder.

The Rockets now have 12 commitments for the Class of 2012.

The Bulls continued their hot recruiting streak Monday afternoon with the addition of two-way lineman Bruce Hector (Tampa, Fla./Robinson).

"I'm firm on (the commitment)," Hector, who picked up his offer after participating in the Super Bull camp, informed the Tampa Bay Times.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder was recruited to play defensive tackle by South Florida and received additional scholarship offers from Akron, Ball State, Bowling Green, Florida Atlantic and Tennessee State.

Safety Kory Brown (Moncks Corner, S.C./East Central C.C.) verbally committed to Kentucky on his official visit this past weekend, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports.

Brown injured his knee as a freshman and redshirted this season at East Central C.C. so he has three years of eligibility remaining.
