Defensive end/tight end Lane Veach (Chandler, Ariz./Perry) accepted a scholarship offer from Stanford, according to multiple reports.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound rising senior also holds offers from Air Force, Arizona, Montana, Northern Arizona and Northern Colorado.

Stanford has nine verbals for 2014. Six of the nine players, including No. 1-ranked quarterback Keller Chryst (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto), announced in June.

Cali QB Cade Apsay picks Buffaloes

Colorado landed a commitment Tuesday from quarterback Cade Apsay (Canyon County, Calif./Canyon), the Daily Camera reports.

Arizona, Eastern Washington, New Mexico and Northern Colorado also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-1, 179-pound prospect. Boise State showed interest.

Apsay received congratulations from his high school offensive coordinator, Alex Reinwald, in Tweet:

 

Last fall, he was named league offensive player of the year after throwing for 3,333 yards, 33 touchdowns and 14 interceptions and rushing for 341 yards and 15 more scores.

Colorado has four verbals for the Class of 2014.

QB Fralick kicks off Nevada's class

The Wolf Pack landed their first pledge for 2014 on Friday from quarterback Hunter Fralick (Sparks, Nev./Spanish Springs), according to the Reno Gazette-Journal reports.

Offensive coordinator Nick Rolovich led Nevada's pursuit of Fralick. Northern Colorado, San Diego State and UNLV also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-1, 194-pound signal-caller.

Last fall, Fralick completed 211 of 340 attempts (62.1 percent) for 2,889 yards and 22 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions while also rushing for 289 yards and 6 more scores. As a sophomore, he tallied 2,063 yards through the air, 235 yards on the ground, 15 touchdown passes and 2 rushing touchdowns.

Fralick registered an electronically timed 4.88 40-yard dash this spring on the combine circuit.

Red Wolves gain a pair of defensive ends

Defensive ends Justyn Eddins and Chris Odom are the newest 2013 verbals for Arkansas State. Eddins' decision has been reported by multiple sources. Scout.com broke Odom's commitment.

Eddins, a 6-foot-3, 235-pound College of the Canyons (Santa Clarita, Calif.) product, selected Arkansas State over a scholarship offers from New Mexico State, Northern Colorado, Sacramento State, Western Michigan and Wyoming. He officially visited the Red Wolves last weekend, the Cowboys on Jan. 18th and the Aggies on Jan. 11th.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Odom played for James Martin High School (Arlington, Texas).

According to ESPN, Arkansas State has 22 commitments / early signees for 2013.

TE Parsons commits to Vanderbilt

The Vanderbilt Commodores picked up their fourth tight end for 2013 on Monday with the addition of three-star Mitchell Parsons (Parker, Colo./Chaparral), multiple sources report.

The group includes four-stars Brandon Vandenburg (Palm Desert, Calif./College of the Desert) and Mack Weaver (Memphis, Tenn./Harding) and three-star Nathan Marcus (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West).

Parsons, who was on campus this weekend for an official visit, originally committed to Colorado but backed off that pledge in October.

Elijah Cox to block for the Bulldogs

Fresno State received a commitment Sunday for offensive tackle Elijah Cox (Glendale, Ariz./Ironwood), according to multiple sources.

Cox, a 6-foot-4, 285-pound senior, selected the Bulldogs over a scholarship offer from Northern Colorado of the Football Championship Subdivision.

Wide receiver Elijah Dunston (West Hills, Calif./Chaminade College Prep) and offensive lineman John Lisella (Littleton, Colo./Columbine) have committed to play for Colorado, Rivals.com reports.

Dunston, a 6-foot, 180-pounder, also had scholarship offers from New Mexico State and Wyoming. California, Nebraska and San Jose State showed interest.

Lisella, 6-foot-3, 245-pounds, was offered by Air Force and Northern Colorado. Colorado State, Connecticut and Princeton also recruited Lisella.

The Buffaloes now have 10 verbals secured for 2013.

Two-star athlete David Dudeck (Princeton, N.J./The Hun School) has committed to Boston College, Rivals.com reports.

Dudeck chose the Eagles over Yale, Northern Colorado and Navy, where his brother Brendan is a freshman.
