Folston stays with Notre Dame
Tarean Folston, the No. 6 athlete and No. 66 overall prospect in the ESPN 150, ultimately stuck with his commitment to Notre Dame this afternoon after a late push from Auburn.
The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder originally pledged to the Irish during the week of the Under Armour All-America Game. Notre Dame now has 12 commits in the ESPN 300, including nine in the ESPN 150.

What is the impact of Folston's decision?
What it means forNotre Dame: The Irish were able to keep a great athlete in the fold and secure its top 10 class. Folston will likely get his start at running back but the 5-foot-9, 190-pound prospect could play on either side of the ball.
What it means for the teams that lost out:Auburn jumped into the mix late and credit Dameyune Craig for getting Folston on a visit and almost landing him. It’s likely Folston would have played defensive back for Auburn.
Turning point:Folston committed to Notre Dame after his final practice for the Under Armour All-America Game and he stuck to his word. The Irish were there with Folston from the beginning.
Surprise (scale of 1-5): 1. Folston was already committed to the program.
Immediate impact (scale of 1-5): 4. Folston should be good to go as soon as he gets to South Bend, whether it be at running back, wide receiver or defensive back.
