Dual-threat JoWahn Brown talks B1G visits

By Jared Shanker

WESTMONT, Ill. -- Harvey (Ill.) Thornton looks to be loaded with underclassmen, and quarterback JoWahn Brown might be next in line to play at an FBS school.

“I made Iowa [last weekend],” Brown said. “I really liked their school. The coaches, I can get along with them. They said they had a bad year but they’re getting back on track.”

During the season, Thornton visited Northwestern and hit it off with coach Pat Fitzgerald and assistant Mick McCall.

“I like the coaches there, too -- McCall and Fitzgerald. I had a good vibe with them,” he said. “I like the campus, right by downtown Chicago.”

Brown also visited Michigan State and is hearing from Ball State, Boston College and Illinois.
