Lineman sets weekend visit to Purdue

By Jared Shanker

Following a meeting with Purdue coach Darrell Hazell, one prospect is ready to make it to West Lafayette, Ind.

Hazell and offensive line coach Jim Bollman sat down with Jason Tretter (Richfield, Ohio/Revere) on Wednesday and hashed out plans for an official visit.

"Coach Hazell and Coach Bollman met with my dad and I today," Tretter wrote in a text message. "I'm visiting Purdue this weekend."

Tretter received an offer from Kent State when Hazell was the coach there.

The 6-foot-7 tackle is seeing increased interest from Purdue as well as Cincinnati and Virginia. The Bearcats are slated to visit with Tretter on Friday.

He officially visited Yale in December, and the Bulldogs are his leader among the four programs to offer.
