Three-star Huhn makes the switch

By Jared Shanker

While Bobby Petrino landed his future quarterback earlier this weekend, he lost his top offensive lineman slated to protect him.

Three-star offensive tackle Chris Huhn (Pickerington, Ohio/Pickerington North) decommitted from Western Kentucky on Sunday in favor of Marshall. Huhn is No. 70 among offensive tackles and the Hilltoppers' second highest-rated commitment. He was their highest-rated lineman.

"I just didn't feel very comfortable with the new coaching staff," Huhn said, "and I've always kind of had a little place for Marshall in me."

Huhn was one of the Hilltoppers' first commitments, pledging to former coach Willie Taggart in July despite holding several other offers, including one from Louisville.

The Thundering Herd hosted the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Huhn for an official visit this weekend.

"The people and that city are just awesome," he said. "I really liked getting to meet everyone and see how friendly they were."
