A day after committing to West Virginia, the expectation is Gibson, No. 201 in the ESPN 300, still will take as many as two more official visits. Cleveland Heights coach Jeff Rotsky has not talked with Gibson yet, but he is under the impression NC State and Tennessee each will host the No. 28 receiver nationally for official visits before signing day.
Rotsky said NC State was in Wednesday, and a visit for Jan. 25 was set up. Tennessee coaches came in Thursday afternoon and finalized details for an official visit beginning Friday. Rotsky said his four-star receiver is scheduled to leave for Knoxville shortly after noon Friday.
Gibson, who has not been reached for comment despite several attempts, told Rivals.com he committed to West Virginia and posted a picture of himself on social networking site Instagram in a yellow Mountaineers jersey with a caption that said he was committed.
The Mountaineers hosted Gibson for an official visit the weekend of Nov. 30. He then visited Kentucky and Ohio State. NC State originally was scheduled to receive an official visit Dec. 14, but Gibson went to Kentucky instead once Mark Stoops was hired.
