Another Glenville star receives OSU offer
By Brad Bournival
Ohio State has tapped into the Cleveland Glenville pipeline twice in the last month, could there be a third?
The Buckeyes offered yet another Tarblooder and this one came in an up-and-coming safety with five offers from Division-I programs.
That it came from Ohio State makes Erick Smith very happy.
“It feels good, knowing I have a chance to play so close to home,” the junior said. “I have a lot of interest in Ohio State. It feels good knowing I have a chance to play for them.”
On top of that, the chance to play with some former teammates is enticing as well.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Smith saw fellow classmate Marcelys Jones commit on Christmas Day and was part of Christopher Worley’s official visit when the senior outside linebacker gave his pledge to the Buckeyes as well.
