BSU decommit Lee staying in MAC
By Jared Shanker
Two-star defensive tackle William Lee (Indianapolis/Arsenal Tech) said he wanted to leave Indiana. That is why he decommitted from Ball State.
On Wednesday, Lee made good on his wish and committed to Northern Illinois.
"I'm a Huskie," Lee said in a message.
Lee said Monday when he decommitted from Ball State, where he committed in the summer, that he would likely commit to Northern Illinois over Western Illinois. After considering his future, Lee felt he needed to get out of the state of Indiana.
“It was really the location. I want to get out of state,” he said Monday. “I’ve really thought hard about it and talked with my family. I think getting out of the state is best for me. It would open some wider opportunities as far as networking for me.
“I started to see that it wasn’t where I wanted to be for four years.”
