Minnesota TE Scarver makes decision
By Jared Shanker
Tight end Noah Scarver (Minneapolis/Washburn) had a favorite going into this past weekend. He took an official visit to another school, and it only reinforced his feelings.
The 6-foot-3, 202-pound Scarver committed to Montana. He visited North Dakota this past weekend and Montana the prior weekend.
“I just felt right when I visited the school,” he said of Montana. “I believe I also have the best chance to make it to the highest level at that school.”
Scarver will play tight end for the Grizzlies.
Washburn coach Giovan Jenkins knew it was going to be tough for North Dakota or Scarver's other remaining top schools -- Illinois State and Northern Iowa -- to beat Montana after the prospect's experience at Montana.
“He absolutely loves it. He really loved the coaching staff and the kids. They made him feel like part of the team already,” Jenkins said. “He loved the atmosphere being form the Midwest, and the landscape captivated his attention and his mom loved it.”
