Linebacker hopes for Purdue offer
By Jared Shanker
Purdue could score a quick commitment this weekend.
Boilermakers assistant coach Marcus Freeman met with outside linebacker Dezwan Polk (Columbus, Ohio/Whetstone) this week, and the two set up an official visit for this weekend, beginning Friday.
“We are pretty sure they’re gonna offer this weekend as we will be visiting,” Polk’s father, Tony Campbell, said via text this morning.
Polk was high on Purdue when Danny Hope was coach, but an offer never came despite significant interest.
In a separate message, Polk himself said he plans to commit if the Boilermakers offer.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Polk is slated to walk on at Bowling Green.
