Ball State loses in-state commitment
By Jared Shanker
Ball State suffered a decommitment Monday, and it was one completely out of the hands of the Cardinals staff.
Two-star defensive tackle William Lee (Indianapolis/Arsenal Tech) elected to open up his commitment after being committed to Ball State since the summer.
Lee said he no longer wants to remain in Indiana.
“It was really the location. I want to get out of state,” he said. “I’ve really thought hard about it and talked with my family. I think getting out of the state is best for me. It would open some wider opportunities as far as networking for me.
“I started to see that it wasn’t where I wanted to be for four years.”
Northern Illinois and Western Illinois are Lee’s other offers, and he expects a decision to come Wednesday.
