Watch List WR Snodgrass explains delay
By Derek Tyson
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- ESPN Watch List wide receiver Thaddeus Snodgrass (Springfield, Ohio/Springfield) was set to make his final decision between Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State and Wisconsin in November, but that didn't happen.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pound athlete decided to postpone his announcement. He felt it wasn't the right time.
"I really wasn't ready," Snodgrass said at last week's Under Armour Combine. "I felt like I was rushing it a little bit. I'm just going to take my time and see what the schools offer academically and football wise."
Since delaying his decision, Snodgrass said he has heard from Tennessee, Cincinnati and Nebraska. The talented junior said there are still a few schools he hopes will make contact.
"I'd like to hear from Georgia and USC," he said. "I like Georgia's offense, like how they get their receivers involved and spread the ball around. I like the exact same thing about USC."
As for future plans, Snodgrass aims to take a few trips.
"I'm planning on going to Notre Dame's junior day and then Penn State and Michigan State," he said. "I'll probably make my decision some time before the season starts."
Snodgrass knows what he wants in the school he chooses.
"Academics are important," he said. "Somewhere where I can better myself, and then probably playing time would be the last thing."
