Three-star OT Randy Heideman to Miami

By Jared Shanker

Miami (Ohio) stole a three-star prospect from BCS programs on Friday.

Normal (Ill.) Community lineman Randy Heideman, the No. 138 offensive tackle nationally, committed to the RedHawks over BCS offers.

"So exited to say I have committed to the Miami Ohio Redhawks!! So blessed and can't wait to be a Redhawk!" he wrote on his Facebook page.

Arizona, Indiana and Wake Forest all offered the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Heideman.

He is the second offensive tackle to commit to Miami in the last 24 hours as the RedHawks landed Southfield (Mich.) lineman Collin Buchanan on Thursday.
