ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- As great as Sunday was for 2014 linebacker Gelen Robinson (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) when he picked up his first football offer from Illinois, it was also a little awkward.
As expected, he was at Assembly Hall to watch his older brother, Glenn Robinson III and the rest of his Michigan basketball teammates take on Illinois in a Big Ten match up. But Gelen wasn’t sitting with his family (which also includes former Purdue basketball star Glenn "Big Dog" Robinson). He was sitting with the other Illinois recruits on the other side of the floor, flanked mainly by a lot of orange, rather than maize and blue.
