In a win last week, Massillon (Ohio) Washington junior quarterback Kyle Kempt relied on the long ball to find the end zone for the Tigers.
Against Warren G. Harding on Thursday, it was the short-passing and screen attack that Kempt relied on to spark a 24-7 win.
“I was happy with how I played,” said Kempt, arguably the top junior quarterback in the state. “Early on we got the screen game and short passes going well. They ended up playing a lot of man [coverage] so we were able to take advantage of that.”
