A kicker that goes 8-for-16 on field goal attempts is hardly going to make headlines. But what about when all eight misses come from outside 55 yards?
That is the case with Dowagiac (Mich.) Union kicker Brett Scanlon, who connected on all of his kicks from inside 55 yards.
“Ninety percent of my kickoffs were touchbacks, and 10 of those went through the uprights,” Scanlon said, emphasizing his leg strength.
