Four-star Cox cuts list; OSU still in it

Four-star Jeannette (Pa.) safety Demetrious Cox has trimmed his list to nine, and Ohio State made the cut despite reports the Buckeyes were dropped.
Cox has a top nine of Arizona State, Arkansas, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Wisconsin. Cox eliminated Kansas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech from contention.
Reports stated Cox cut his list to just eight with the Buckeyes being out of it, but Cox confirmed with ESPN.com the Buckeyes did make the cut. The Buckeyes visited with Cox at his high school on Wednesday, as did Pittsburgh.
