Ohio State might know who the first member of its 2014 recruiting class is by the end of the week.
Wide receiver Lonnie Johnson (Gary, Ind./West Side), who has made no secret about his affinity for OSU, said via text message that he will announce his choice at 5 p.m. in his high school gymnasium on Friday.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound junior has interest from Ball State, Cincinnati, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon and Purdue. But it will come down to a choice between Ohio State, Bowling Green and Illinois, which offered Johnson on Monday.
