LB Spearman '50-50' on Illinois, Iowa

Chicago Simeon linebacker Reggie Spearman has been committed to Illinois since April, but an offer from Iowa last month caused him to consider his options.
The three-star prospect and No. 53 linebacker nationally, Spearman officially visited Iowa in November. Following that visit, he said he was close to opening his commitment. He remained officially committed to the Illini, however, and he took an official visit to Champaign, Ill., this past weekend.
"It went great," Spearman said.
