While heroes are easy to find on the winning team, sometimes it’s the unsung players who really stick out on a squad not taking home the title.
Jerrid Marhefka was definitely one of those characters in St. Clairsville’s 46-36 Division IV state runner-up loss to Clarksville (Ohio) Clinton-Massie.
While Bayle Wolf’s 220-yard, 5-touchdown performance certainly was one for the ages for the Falcons, he might have been upstaged by a wide receiver for the Red Devils who is used to playing second fiddle.
