Evan Panfil (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln Way Central) picked up his first BCS offer Saturday and he did not waste any time thinking it over.
Panfil committed to the Illini on the spot while visiting the program Saturday for its game against Purdue. Panfil confirmed the news to ESPN.com.
"Illinois was right for me," Panfil said.
Several MAC programs offered Panfil, who also had a few areas from programs out West. He had an official visit scheduled to Colorado State for Nov. 30.
