Junior outside linebacker Robbie Odeneal (Kankakee, Ill./Bishop McNamara) made his first college game day visit this past Saturday. Although Illinois lost, he did not have a bad thing to say about the trip.
“Illinois was good, great environment,” he said.
It was another Big Ten loss for the Fighting Illini, who dropped to 2-8 on the season under first-year coach Tim Beckman. Considering the struggles this year, Odeneal was surprised at the passion of the fan base.
