Mentor (Ohio) 2014 receiver Brandon Fritts never heard of Notre Dame’s player walk on game days. Having witnessed it in person Saturday, he won’t ever forget it.
Fritts was one of the many 2014 visitors at Notre Dame for the Michigan game, and he really enjoyed walking with the team through the fans to the stadium.
“That was really cool. There was a ton of people lined up,” he said “I’ve never been to Notre Dame before, so it was a good experience to see all the fans going crazy for the players. The walk was real interesting.”
Fritts talked with tight ends coach Scott Booker, who recruits the Northeast Ohio area for the Irish.
Although it was a sloppy game, Fritts liked what he saw from the fans.
“The atmosphere was great,” he said. “You couldn’t find an empty seat in the stadium.”
