After a visiting a few campuses, Evan Jansen (Cincinnati/Moeller) got a feeling from the coaches at Indiana he did not get anywhere else. He felt wanted.
“The other schools interested like Boston College and Duke, I went to their camps and it didn’t feel like Indiana did. I went to the UC (Cincinnati) camp and all the coaches definitely were not as welcoming and personable as the guys at Indiana,” Jansen said. “It definitely seemed like a place I can spend the next four or five years.”
Jansen is one of two tight ends the Hoosiers plan on taking in the 2013 class. At 6-foot-4 and 229 pounds, Jansen said the staff sees him as more of a receiver than a blocker, which is what it is looking for in the other tight end commit.
