Running back Ty Isaac (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Catholic) has been a hot commodity over the past few months. After taking some time off from the recruiting process, Isaac and his parents decided to take a trip out to USC.
This was the second visit for Issac, but it was the first time his mother was able to see the Trojans' campus in person. The visit was mainly for her, and to see the surrounding area outside of campus.
"For me I'm still in the same spot as I was before. They're a school that I'm really considering," he said. "For my parents they both said they had a good time. My mom wanted to know more about the staff and what type of people they are."
The city of Los Angeles can be an exciting place, and Isaac and his family got a chance to meet a few celebrities while on the visit. While waiting for a meeting they bumped into former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Isaac's mother said that she felt comfortable with the area surrounding campus and that the school has definite positives. While Isaac didn't necessarily see or hear anything new, he did get a chance to meet and hang out with some of the USC players.
"It was pretty much the same stuff for me, I don't mean that to sound negative," he said. "I spent more time with the guys on the team, which was pretty cool. I got to see what it was like, it's not always fun stuff going on, so I got to see what it's like on a normal day."
Isaac has said that he sincerely does not know what school he will choose. He is essentially down to Michigan, USC and Notre Dame, but still has contact with Auburn as well.
"The schools don't make it easy, everywhere you go there's something unique and good about each one," he said. "I can see myself fitting in a couple places, it's just how well at this point. I want the best fit, if I get to pick then I'm not going to settle. I want to know it's right."
Isaac said that he has had that feeling of knowing where he wanted to go in the past few months, but decided to wait. He's hoping to get that feeling, and know 100 percent where he wants to go. He doesn't know when that feeling will come, but wants to act on it when it does.
"I don't have a specific date, I don't want to be one of those guys that sets a date and then have to make a decision by then," he said. "I'm just going to let it happen. If I knew where I wanted to go right now I would have already ended it, so I'm just going to wait and see."
