Marcus McWilson (Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney) has yet to see Nebraska, but that was not enough to keep him from committing to the Cornhuskers on Monday.
“I talked to the coaches a lot, and it’s like a family up there,” McWilson said. “The coaches are really nice. I feel that Nebraska can definitely maximize my talents and take me where I need to be. I’m hoping to get a good education and good opportunity to play and win championships out of it.”
There were concerns among McWilson’s family about committing to the Huskers without seeing the campus or program up close, but McWilson felt comfortable enough with his discussions with the coaching staff to commit before visiting in the coming weeks for spring practice and the spring game.
