Ohio State is making a strong closing push for the 2012 class that will begin signing letters of intent on Wednesday, but the Buckeyes added a significant piece to their 2013 class Monday.
Jalin Marshall, an ESPNU 150 Watch List athlete from Middletown, Ohio, confirmed in a text message to ESPN.com he is committing to Ohio State .
Marshall chose the Buckeyes over Alabama, Cincinnati, Notre Dame and Tennessee. He attended the Buckeyes' junior day on Sunday.
Less than two weeks ago, the Buckeyes picked up a commitment from fellow Ohio ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect Cam Burrows. Marshall and Burrows could be battling for the No. 1 ranking in Ohio next season.
