Montini (Ill.) three-star receiver Jordan Westerkamp was solid to Nebraska up until a month ago when nearby Notre Dame offered. Westerkamp visited Notre Dame in December and was waffling on his Nebraska verbal.
After thinking things over for the better part of a month, Illinois' 11th-best prospect - and a top 50 receiver nationally - came to a decision.
"I came to the decision last night around midnight," Westerkamp told ESPNChicago.com reporter Scott Powers. "When it came down to it, I just love Nebraska. I'm so excited about it and can't wait to get out there. I know Nebraska is the place for me. I had to see my options and put it all on the table. In the end, this is the place for me."
Powers' complete report on Westerkamp's decision to stick with the Huskers can be read here.
