Running back Mikale Wilbon (Chicago/De La Salle Institute) might be getting himself to one of the hottest basketball tickets out there by taking an unofficial visit in a few weeks.
The 2014 prospect is planning a visit to Indiana on February 2 to take in the highly-anticipated Indiana-Michigan basketball game.
Indiana is one of his six offers (Indiana, Illinois, Purdue, Iowa, Mississippi State and Arizona State), but it’s still too early for any kind of leader.
Wilbon is looking forward to getting to Bloomington and taking in the scenes of what a game day, albeit basketball, looks like for Indiana.
“I want to see college life and campus,” Wilbon said via text. “I also want to meet the coaches and [see] the football facilities.”
Wilbon has already met Indiana running back coach Deland McCullough and special teams coach Mark Hagen. Wilbon said he thought those coaches seemed very cool but he wants to meet the entire staff.
He still has a lot of time to meet staffs, see campuses and weigh the pros and cons of every school as he’s not planning on committing until the winter of his senior season.
“I want to look at every program that offers,” Wilbon said via text. “I want to take my time during this process so I can make the right decision for me.”
