At most, Darrin Hall (Youngstown, Ohio/Austintown-Fitch) expected to see the field only during garbage time this past season. The sophomore knew his opportunity would be next season.
An injury to the starting running back caused Hall to see the field early and often, however, and he made the most of his opportunities. Hall rushed for a shade under 1,000 yards and tallied 13 touchdowns.
He’s added three offers, all from the Big Ten.
“I think I did great but I still have a lot of improvement,” Hall said. “… If it wasn’t for the injury -- I wanted him to come back as he’s a teammate -- but none of this would be happening right now or this early I should say.”
