As one of the prospects with a Michigan State offer at the Spartans’ junior day, Billy Hirschfeld (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) was made a priority by the coaches Sunday.
When he walked into the football complex Sunday, recruiting coordinator Brad Salem was walking by and greeted Hirschfeld. Salem brought the 2014 defensive end in to meet with Spartans defensive line coach Ted Gill right away.
“We talked for a good 15 to 20 minutes on the defense and what it’s like there,” Hirschfeld said. “Then I got to talk to [Dan] Roushar and Coach [Pat] Narduzzi and then ran into Coach [Mark] Dantonio. He was really happy to see me.”
