Bowling Green went back into Illinois for a third time Tuesday, grabbing a commitment from Chicago, as defensive tackle Shannon Smith (Chicago/Marist) committed to the Falcons.
"I felt comfortable there and I knew how much they wanted me, and they didn't care about my size," Smith said. "They also have a great defense, and I know I'll be an asset to their defense and what they're doing."
At 6-foot-1 and 265 pounds, Smith is considered a little undersized for the position, but the Bowling Green coaches liked what they saw on film.
