With injuries behind him, Cameron Polk (Fishers, Ind./Hamilton Southeastern) had a breakout junior season. College programs have taken notice, and the first school offered Thursday.
Massachusetts is the first to offer the 6-foot-2, 170-pound receiver. Polk did not get to talk to UMass assistant Jeff Burris, who offered the scholarship.
"I was so excited once I found about it," he said. "I had hoped that scholarships would come my way but I didn't expect it to be so soon."
Indiana, Iowa, Michigan State and Wisconsin are a few of the Big Ten programs also interested in Polk.
