Mikale Wilbon might play on the same team as coveted Watch List tackle Jamarco Jones at Chicago De La Salle, but Wilbon is no tag along. The junior running back already has three offers and is optimistic another could come soon.
Wilbon took in Ohio State's game against Michigan on Saturday, and he talked to the Buckeyes coaches about where he stands on their recruiting board. Illinois, Iowa and Purdue have already offered.
"I talked to Coach [Stan] Drayton, the running backs coach, and he said he was going to do his homework on me and he said an offer should be coming soon because 'we're coming for you and we like you.'"
The 5-foot-9, 190-pound Wilbon was impressed by Ohio State.
"Everything was amazing," he said. "This is by far the best visit and best game I've been, too. ... It was real crazy and after the game they rushed the field. During the game, first quarter to the fourth, it was loud, just crazy through the whole game."
Like Jones, the Buckeyes are high on Wilbon's list following the visit.
"When they do offer of course they're going to be on the list. I'm going to put them in high consideration," Wilbon said. "This visit really helped. I'm going to put them, not No. 1, but high. I still want to look at every program."
